Pilih pilih pilih….. I’m compiling DSLR price list in Malaysia hopefully can publish it soon.
In Tamron price list entry, I mentioned about hunting for all-rounder lens, either 18-200mm or 28-300mm. There’s 2 willing sellers I found. One selling 28-300mm Tamron and the other one selling 18-200mm Canon. But I’m not a willing buyer due to the price and offering was beyond what I can afford. Luckily, I found another seller selling Canon EF 28-105mm II USM. This lens maybe not as all rounder as 28-300 but it supposed to produced better image, and most importantly I can afford it and the package offered was quite good.
(Above) This shot was taken at Izzi Pizza. This is the second time for me. Though the pizza word is in the restaurant name, it does sell only pizza. The food varieties are very broad and all of them taste so good. If someone knock your door selling izzi pizza voucher, bought them. You won’t regret buying it. And you can enjoy free valet parking too

In September, less than 10 entries were made. In October, It could be worse as I’m getting busy with my work. I do have a lot of thing to write, for example my long due langkawi vacation, my new lens, pelita nasi kandar (bawah), diana danielle (atas), proton blm and a lot more. Kira² 2:30 pagi, aku terjaga… tekak terasa sangat sakit. Sekarang jam 4:06 pagi, aku telah berjaya meneguk hampir 7 gelas air masak. Baru rasa lega sikit tekak nih. Jarang aku boleh minum banyak² air camnih tanpa membuatkan perut rasa sebu. Puas betul tdo tadi, mata aku membulat la nih, xde rasa ngantuk langsung. Lantas membuat lawatan ke laman rakan² sblm aku smbg wat kerja sket, esok ada presentation lain pulak. Lebih kurang pukul 3 tadi, mama nadiah bangun, lapar katanya. Masak nasi dan tumis sambal udang bersama fish-cake. Alamak… wanginya… dan buat pertama kalinya jugak aku bersahur di bulan ramadhan tahun ini. Harapnya, esok aku tak kelaparan :-&
Sebenarnya, sejak dua menjak ni aku sibuk, banyak projek yang jalan serentak. Nasib baik minggu depan akan masuk beberapa muka baru. Lantaran beberapa malam aku tak tidor, dan semalam di N9, aku hari ni aku tidor awal. Jam 8:30 aku telah hanyut.

Previously, everyday there’ll be more than 5 new entries in my RSS reader for local blog category, nowadays, to get 2 new entries per day seems so hard. Thankfully, few still writes, some of them:

Was at Proton COE few days ago. Browse through almost all Proton line-ups, starting from Proton Saga to the latest Proton Persona Envy. There was a number of limited edition savvy and neo downstairs. Parked together with ready-to-deliver cars. Proton never market these car and Merdeka celebration is over. When do Proton plan to market this Merdeka Edition Savvy and Neo. I didn’t bring along my camera, so my k800i saved me. Only savvy here because there’s not much different on the Neo except the decal which is the same with the savvy on the exterior.
The Merdeka Edition have decals on the outside, Bunga Raya motive, zerokit for the savvy and special leather trim on the inside for both. There’s an emblem with serial number and Pak Lah signature on the center console for both Savvy and Neo. Both look a lot nicer in person. Any takers?

I’m compiling the price guide for DLSR and its accessories in Malaysia. The only full list I’ve now is Tamron lenses collection. Who have other product price list please share ya. Especially Canon. Money-money-money… Urghh… so expensive lah this hobby. I’m seriously looking for 580EX, anybody getting rid of their 580EX please let me know. Those of you who have 580EX should also get rid of it and sell it to me, you should get 580EX II instead.
The picture above got nothing to do with this entry :-P. Those of you who are seriously into photography and editing, you should get your monitor calibrated. The above picture was originally pp-ed using my hp lcd monitor which I’m using at home. Looked great, but then when viewed using my notebook lcd looked a bit dark and using CRT monitor, different look altogether. I wonder how does the picture rendered on your computer. The formula or the rule of thumb is: 1/(focal length x crop factor) s
For example, 50mm on 350D or on any 1.6 crop factor multiplier sensor:
1/(50 x 1.6) = 1/80 s
Means, the slowest allowable shutter speed is 1/80s. Note the word allowable, means you still can go below that, with a price though. For full frame DSLR like Canon 1D series or newly introduced Nikon D3, You don’t have to calculate as the minimum allowable shutter speed will always be the focal length of the lenses. Hence, the formula will always be 1/(focal length x1). The only catch is that all full-frame DSLR is cost arms and legs. You guy should already know what’s your camera crop factor is.
When shooting in low light condition, without any powerful flashgun, in fact i don’t have any :-(, and no fast lenses as well, I always choose sharpness over brightness. With the help of Photoshop, we still can recover the brightness, as long as the picture is not too dark or burnt out. Boosting the ISO level also help, but most entry level DSLR tend to produce lots of noise in high ISO.
The picture below taken with 70mm f4.0 1/200s, above the minimum allowable shutter speed of 1/200 s. The result, a bit dark image due to low light condition. But with very minimal touch up using photshop software, we can achieve acceptable image.
The following picture adjusted just with: 1- ctrl+j (duplicate layer), 2- change blending option to screen. That’s all. You can adjust more using curve, level, brightness and so on, but this just to demonstrate that how easy it is to do it. You can achieve better result with further adjustment.
Pembukaan entri Rumpun aku ada cakap yang aku dah habiskan dua kotak tisu. Ia tidak berakhir di situ sahaja. Walaupun malam itu Malaysia menang besar, sistem imun badan aku tewas teruk kepada virus. Aku demam teruk, dan keesokan paginya menjadi lebih teruk. Aku tido sepanjang pagi, tido yang dipaksa oleh badan aku. Aku langsung tak daya nak bangun, kalau aku bangun dan ubah kedudukan, pasti terus terlena.Setiap kali aku jaga, sakit kepala aku akan digandakan. Jika di dalam lena aku tidak terasa sakit tidak mengapa, ini tidak, aku tidak lena sepenuhnya. Otak aku masih mentafsirkan kesakitan yang aku alami, berpinar dan rasa berat sekali. Dengan mulut aku meracau meminta tolong. Terasa macam budak kecik pulak. Dah lama rasanya tak demam teruk macam ni. Tahun ini aku boleh dikatakan sering jatuh sakit. Jika dibandingkan dengan zaman awal aku kerja, memang boleh dikatakan langsung tidak pernah ambil cuti sakit 
Masuk pukul satu, aku dah tak sanggup nak terus terbaring kat atas katil, aku paksakan jugak bangun dan gagah ke bilik mandi. Sebenarnya, malamnya kami akan bergerak ke Langkawi, percutian yang telah dirancang dari hujung tahun lepas dan segala tempah telahpun dibuat sejak 2 bulan yang lepas. Kebetulan pula rezeki kami, awal minggunya ada orang nak menyewa rumah dan nak masuk rumah tu pada 1 September. Di sebabkan malamnya kami hendak bertolak ke Langkawi, segala persiapan rumah tersebut perlu dilakukan pada hari ni jugak. Wife aku cakap dia boleh setelkan sendiri, tapi suami mana yang sampai hati. Dengan perut 7 bulan kehulu kehilir naik pengangkutan awam. Nak ke Shah Alam dari Cheras bukannya senang. Dah tu pula banyak urusan yang perlu disetelkan. Atas dasar itu juga, aku telan 2 biji panadol activeslow yang dibelikan oleh faizal, masuk kereta dan hidupkan enjin. Dengan badan masih menggeletar dan nafas yang pendek-pendek, aku bergerak ke shah alam. Tidak cukup dengan panadol, aku beli jugak sebotol 100+. Rumah itu memang hendak disewakan, jadi kami tak pasang lampu dan grill selagi tak ada orang menyewa, cuma bila dah dapat nih, notis nya pendek sangatlah pulak, apapun itu rezki dan syukur alhamdulillah ada juga yang nak menyewa. Selesai urusan rumah, balik ke rumah, dengan harapan sampai awal, boleh rehat-rehat dahulu sebelum bertolak. Meleset. Jalam jam teruk, sampai rumah dah lebih pukul lapan, tiket keretapi jam 9:30. Kelam kabut kemas barang yang belum di kemas, nasib baik separuh dah dikemas pada malam sebelumnya, masuk dalam bag, tunggu faizal sampai dan terus memecut ke KLSentral. Secara logiknya, kami telahpun terlepas keretapi tersebut. Cuma nasib baik, dengan keretapi, boleh naik dimana-mana stesen pun asalkan keretapi yang sama, kami terus ke stesen Sg Buluh dan tunggu di sana. Hasil dari kelam kabut tersebut, aku tertinggal aku punya notebook, handphone charger, PDA charger, in-car charger untuk PDA dan juga PDA holder. PDA tuh penting utk GPS di sana nanti, adehhhh. Lebih kurang jam 9:37 keretapi Senandung Langkawi pun sampai, kami naik ke koc R3 dan berjalan di dalam gerabak menuju ke koc S1 katil nombor 30 dan 32. Sampai sahaja di katil, aku terus baring, menyambung tidor demam aku, sampai pagi.
Atas sebab itulah juga, aku gagal untuk mengemaskini laman ini dan juga membalas komen-komen kalian apatah lagi menziarahi laman-laman kalian. Aku masih lagi demam, Nadiah telahpun sembuh, Maknya baru nak mula demam malam tadi. Moga-moga kami cepat sembut.
