Pictures taken on my trip to Penang last monday. A lot of pictures taken, but I would like to share these two first. I’m not using any DSLR or even Prosumer yet, just a point-and-shoot Sony DSC P200 7.2 Megapixel, hope this year I can afford to buy one. I adjusted the pictures using Photoshop, no effect/filter applied, just adjust using level, curve and contrast. I do hope it turns out well, your comment is very much appreciated. After almost 4 days and 3 nights at office, finally our secret project completed and ready to be delivered. Cameron Bharat Tea Plantation, They have waterfall in the middle, nice dude

A combination of green and cold/fresh, very good for your mind body and soul. Cameron Highlands, without having to go abroad is less colder from Genting Highlands even, but that’s what make it a nice place to rest. You don’t have to wear shirt after shirt after shirt just to get you warm, Normal clothing is enough. The air, the view, the people, the food, the cost are all nice. The cost is not very high, the food is cheap, the hotel is cheap as well, considering now is peak season, including surcharge for 3 bed room cost me only RM170 including breakfast. Going about Cameron highlands also easy, it’s less than 15 minutes drive to any directions. With the help of GPS, i recommend you to have one, they are considerably cheap now, you can plan your visits and find attractions close to current locations or along the locations as well. So, let me share with you what cameron highlands have to offer:

Cameron highlands attractions:

• Rose Valley - Not cool. It cost you RM4.00 so that you can smell the chicken shit
• Butterfly Farm - 1/2 Cool. It cost you RM5.00 and you can see pretty much the same species butterflies and few reptiles and insects. Some flower as well
• Cameron Bharat Tea Shop - Cool. It’s free. You can walk and run in the tea trees if you want. Teh Tarik cost you RM3.00 though
• Sg Palas Boh’ Tea Center - Cool. It cost you, RM0.00. You are allowed to walk around in the factory as well, and they have a very nice information center and tea shop. Don’t park your car down the hill, if you do the cool factor goes down the drain. I parked my car just beside the factory. No sweat at all hahah.
• Strawberry Farm - Vary. There’s a lot of strawberry farm up here. And pretty much every single one of them allow handpicking your strawberries. Some charge some don’t, go to the free one. Why you want to pay when you get it for free anyway. Just pay for what you picked, and bring along everyone, no limit.
• Brinchang Night Market - Cool. It’s night, It’s getting colder and some of you might shiver. You can find and buy a lot of cheap stuff here. Roses, strawberries, dried flowers, foods and a lot more, typical pasar malam with cameron specialty products. Entrance fee: Free.
• Road Side Stalls - Cool. Along the road, you can find a lot of shops and stalls selling foods, vegetables, fruits and souvenirs. They are fun to browse and cheap too. Be picky if you must, you have a lot of options. 14 packets of fresh vegetables cost you only RM10. At certain shop 7 packets for RM10.00.
• Cactus Center - 1/4 Cool. Advertised as Free Admission. As advertised it’s free. It’s a commercial cactus nursery anyway.
• Multicrops Center - Cool. Again, it’s free. They have a very nice in-shop flower garden there and you can order variety of foods ranging from breads, ice creams and i can’t remember
• Tanah Rata Reject Shop - If you forgot to bring you sweater, Not to worry, they have it here for just RM10.00 or even as low as RM5.00.
• Cameron Highland itself - Super Cool

Pulai - Kg Raja Road

There are more attractions here but some of it we missed. Such as lata iskandar, a very nice waterfall as i can remember. We used Pulai - Kg Raja route instead of Tapah route because of the road much less dangerous. But during the whole stretch after pulai until we reach kg raja, no network signal at all. We missed lata iskandar, we also missed honey bee farm, robinsons waterfall and few other. The conclusion is, go for free stuff here. They are free and are way cooler than the paid one.

Wajakun ditimpa hujan

It’s raining season again, at very end of the year ever year is raining season for Malaysia, especially east cost of peninsular Malaysia. This year, 2006 is the third year I’m dreaming about going to an island and relax by the white sand beach facing the clear water sea and enjoy the sunset by the evening. The only problem is, we usually busy for the whole year making me feel guilty taking leave. Now, barely 1 month left, I still have 11 days unused leave, really want to use it, catch flight or drive to the east coat, take boat and land my self (and family of course) there careless about everything else. But then again, now is raining season, going there considered as stupid. Urghh.. got go make time for this dream holiday come to reality next year. Promise promise promise…

Nevertheless, tomorrow we will be going to Cameron Highlands to fulfill my wife wish. She asked me to go there for quite some times. The last time I been there was 16 years ago, hopefully Cameron Highlands remain a nice place to visit. Tadaa KL, such a superficial, pretentious, materialistic, discontented, dusty and smokey place for now, we are off to nice place

I’m 1 year old

Good time flies fast, my daughter is 1 year old already. Like all other parent, I just hope the best and will do the best for her. Luv ya Nadiah, muahsss :-*

Sedar tak sedar, dah habis dah pun raya. Habis tak habis pun, esok masih ada lagi yang buat open house raya, tu tak termasuk weekend nih. So sekali lagi jugaklah aku nak ucapkan selamat hari raya aidilfitri dan maaf zahir dan batin kepada semua.

Tahun ni aku beraya di rumah mertua di johor. Kami mengamalkan sistem giliran disebabkan jarak yang jauh, so lepas raya baru balik ke perak pulak, tak boleh lah dalam cuti yang sama. Ponat den nak drive, tak masuk tol minyak lagi. Raya tahun ni juga raya pertama bertiga, sebelum2 ni berdua jer, sebelum tu lagi sorang2 jer hehe. Sonot raya bertiga nih, feeling dia lain. Tahun nih jugak, aku menjadik mangsa propaganda pink bini aku, tapi okla, takderlah pink sangat, lawa baju tu, janji bahagia hehe. Raya pertama pusing singapore, food dierr,, pergh… tu yang walaupun tak larat makan pun layan jugak, sedap wehh. Walaupun, kesemua rumah yang aku pergi jamu mender yang sama jer, ketupat/nasik impit dengan kuah lontong dan serunding. raya tahun nih jugak, aku jadik tukang pasang mercun. best haha… sebab tak payah beli. mahal2 mercun skang nih, bkn murah weh. Raya ketiga pusing johor pulak, ke batu pahat, rengit, potian, benut dan segala jenis parit yang ada kat sana, raya belah sedara mak mertua aku, ramai sungguh dan ramah tamah dorang nih. Raya keempat aku dah balik KL, ada banyak kerja yang aku perlu selesaikan, terutamanya utk presentation hari selasa tu.

Minggu berikutnya, balik ke perak pulak. Tapi sekejap je la, jumaat malam sampai, ahad dah balik KL. Sempat jugak balik ke kampung dan beraya kat penang, jalan2 dgn family. Perak, setiap kali aku balik, pasti cam kenduri. Macam-macam makanan ada, dan yang penting, dapat jugak aku merasa lemang tahun ni hehe.

To Dale Carnegie - “Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.”

Off the late a lot of thing happens. Everyone seems to be very busy, with life, works, love et cetera now. I have been busy with work and sickness. Last week i found out my notebook screen is YELLOW, not white. That’s mean, all this while, what i see and expect others to see on my screen are actually not very same. There’s no way to calibrate it as well. Or is it? F F F. Is having memory larger than 1GB affecting my screen color? Is having too many red in web design causing my processor to process the color too much and then, in turn causing the screen confused and display yellow instead of white? Is the hard disk 90% full causing the system became heavy and then again, resulting the screen yellow? It’s not yellow as in yellow yellow, but one thing for sure it’s not white. F F F. So shocking, my eye turned red that very evening and next day, both eyes becomes RED, S S S. Now, my eyes have FULLY RECOVER, my screen still yellowish. Apart from that, errmmm… confidential confidential confidential… … … zip.

Back to the title, I want to get success. I hope to get both success and happiness.

Nikon was so blind that they did not see my talent. How come i missed the selection for the free D80 DSLR elite trial user. I was so jealous reading the article on how Nikon market their brand new D80, by selecting users on flickr which they thought worth trying their D80 and give good remarks about it. I guess i was not selected because there isn’t any picture uploaded on my account yet that time. Nikon tactics is very good, “poisoning” the young padawan.

From brief reading, there are numerous advantages D80 have over canons’ 400D, such as 11 points AF area versus 400Ds’ 9 points. Your can read the comparison between D80, 400D and A100 here. However, i don’t think D80 vs 400D is apple to apple comparison. For starting, 400D is positioned as entry level DSLR while D80 is not very entry, at least from the pricing point of view, 400D priced at RM3000.00– (body) while D80 more than RM3500.00++ (body). For some that could be small amount of money, but for me it’s a lot. Plus the performance wise are not very much difference, after all, what differentiate each other are the advances features they have but they are for pro photographer which likely using far more superior camera than this. Worse in some reviews i read, 400D have more overall points than D80. I really want to make sure their point is wrong, D80 priced more than 400D surely because it offers more and produce better results. But, without having it, i cannot prove it.

I’ve yet to own any SLR to date of which i really-really like to own one. One of the attempt i made to own DSLR was by entering a contest conducted by DCM, i lost by a mere 0.5 point to the winner, very close call the judges almost commit suicide because they cannot decide who should be the winner. I was very pity with them and let the other person win because i think he deserve more. How can he deserve more while his winning picture was already shot using a camera worth double the 30D and the lense that cost three months my wajakun installment? I think la hehe.

Dear Nikon, from my post above you can clearly see that I’m on the bright side with no luck there, if you want to poison me, now is the right time. I’m ready to join the dark side anytime you contact me. So please, do contact me.

Masa sekarang berlalu terlalu pantas atau aku yang bawak laju aku pun kurang pasti, tp semenjak dua menjak nih perjalanan aku balik kampung amik masa dalam 3 jam jer, dari rumah ke rumah. Masa mula2 aku sampai rumah dalam masa 3 jam bapak aku sound “hang bawak berapa long? sat sangat sampai” la ni tak tanya dah, kalau dah dekat 3 jam x sampai mesti ada tepon tanya dekat mana dah heheh.

balik kampung kali ni jangkaannya nak sampai awai, tapi sangkut p jam kat kl la pulak. so berbukak la kat kl dulu lepas tu baru ciaou. tamau sampai lambat punya pasal, kali ni perjalanan fly direct xde stop kat mana2 pong kat hi-way kecuali dah sampai kemuntin berenti sat, bini aku nak beli barang. aku tatau apsal letih yang amat, sampai2 tu aku angkat tudung, wahh.. ada mentabak, wa mau wa mau hehe.. masuk bilik letak kepala jap, aku punya kejap sampai pagi esok daa… melepas.

saya pun turut berpuasa

Nadiah sepanjang hari tabley tdo, ada saja kejer yang dia nak buat. kehulu kehilir, last2 round naik keter baru mau tdo. Dekat2 kol 5 baru bangun, alahai melepas lah pergi kemuntin hari ni, selama pun ok. Macam biasa, disebabkan harga makanan teramatlah murahnya, maka dengan ketidak sengajaan itu, terhasillah lauk pauk kuih muih utk kenduri suku kampung. Tapi apa pasai pun aku tatau, xde gamba makanan kali nih. Tak sabau nak makan kot heheh..

Hari ni dah masuk hari kedua puasa. Aku tengah pening sket ni, dah 2 hari tak sahur. Semalam berbuka pun kurma 2 bijik, cendol dan bubur pulut hitam bersama karipap seketul, tu je. Malam lupa nak minum air, sahur pun idak isk isk… Utk menghebatkan lagi dugaan, meh la kita tengok gamba2 ni.
