Was at Proton COE few days ago. Browse through almost all Proton line-ups, starting from Proton Saga to the latest Proton Persona Envy. There was a number of limited edition savvy and neo downstairs. Parked together with ready-to-deliver cars. Proton never market these car and Merdeka celebration is over. When do Proton plan to market this Merdeka Edition Savvy and Neo. I didn’t bring along my camera, so my k800i saved me. Only savvy here because there’s not much different on the Neo except the decal which is the same with the savvy on the exterior.

The Merdeka Edition have decals on the outside, Bunga Raya motive, zerokit for the savvy and special leather trim on the inside for both. There’s an emblem with serial number and Pak Lah signature on the center console for both Savvy and Neo. Both look a lot nicer in person. Any takers?

What a day for Proton. First, in the morning a news about how savvy pluged 5 meters below but the lady driver escaped unhurt, and then last night on NST, Proton Iswara plunges 6 floors high, the lady escape with ‘minor’ injuries. Free publicity for proton some might say. For Iswara, She must be lucky, the car is total damaged already. But for Savvy, it just proved what proton said from day one, tougher than you think. Sadly, Savvy design is not everyone cup of tea.

Compare the comments on both discussion. On paultan, more than half of the comments compliment the toughness of savvy, while the remaining (codenamed ‘p1 basher’) bashed proton till the last drop of their blood. Come on dude, give credits where its due.

Konsep yang di reka cipta oleh chaku yang pada aku boleh tahan cun ataupun memang cun habis. Kalau nak masuk pasaran, Proton kena buat betul2 kali ni, betul2 dari segi strategi pemasaran, promosi, kualiti, khidmat sokongan dan sebagainya, terlalu banyak masalah yang melanda proton sekarang ni.

proton said that they are developing the new saga/iswara replacement model which is based on savvy platform. so i came up with this…a sedan savvy
this might be how savvy sedan rear look..
equipped with zerokit bodykits
painted champion white…

i dunno where to put the licence plate…between taillight or on the bumper…

Kemaskini: Aku terpaksa letak URL pada gambar tuh, sbb bulan ni terlalu banyak web lain yang link secara langsung ke gambar tersebut dan ‘makan’ bandwidth aku. Ini pagi aku isi minyak, minyak aku isi masuk wajakun. Sejak harga minyak naik dua tiga kali ni, kos tangki penuh wajakun aku pun turut naik, kalau dulu masa mula-mula keluar kedai baru RM70, skang dah RM95+-. Tapi hari ni wajakun cipta rekod, rekod yang selama ni aku cuba2 try tapi tak sampai. Akhirnya wajakun minum jugak > RM100. Adehh… Tabiat isi bila tangki dah nak kosong ni dah lama aku rentikan selepas dapat tahu boleh memendekkan hayat fuel pump tapi kali ni terlajak pulak. Sebulan average aku ini minyak 6 kali, kalau sekali isi RM100.00 sebulan dah RM600.00 huhuuu. Bulan lapan minyak aku RM650++ :-O, seb bek bulan lepas turun la sikit ke RM450.00

Savvy’s 1 ⅔ tanks of petrols cover 1,614KM to set a national fuel economy record

Yay! They sets the record in the Malaysia Book of Record achieving only RM0.08 per kilometer, w00t. That’s mean going back to my hometown will require only RM24.00, superb. However, i do not know yet how they achieved it, did they turned off the aircond like what shell did or not.

It’s going to held from 17 to 19 September 2006 (last day until tomorrow) and anyone can participate to join the convoy, currently about 15 cars from SAVOC alone confirm joining the convoy. Sekarang ni selalu kalau korang dengar kat era, iklan shell pegi penang pastu turun balik ke kl dengan hanya satu tangki penuh. masa aku dengar iklan ni aku mmg dah agak mesti dorang ni mesti pakai kereta kancil ataupun tak memandu cara biasa, tapi aku takdak bukti masa tu. skang dah ada, 2 hari lepas dalam NST sedara ridzwan a rahim ada citer penuh cemana nak buat. Dan dari artikel tu, komfem nak capai satu tank pegi balik penang adalah satu pengalaman yang menyeksakan.

1. Tutup aircond tengah hari buta, sepanjang perjalanan :-O
2. Tidak dinyatakan, tapi dalam tips tingkap kena tutup. Gila apa, aircond tutup, tingkap tutup :-O
