In Tamron price list entry, I mentioned about hunting for all-rounder lens, either 18-200mm or 28-300mm. There’s 2 willing sellers I found. One selling 28-300mm Tamron and the other one selling 18-200mm Canon. But I’m not a willing buyer due to the price and offering was beyond what I can afford. Luckily, I found another seller selling Canon EF 28-105mm II USM. This lens maybe not as all rounder as 28-300 but it supposed to produced better image, and most importantly I can afford it and the package offered was quite good.

(Above) This shot was taken at Izzi Pizza. This is the second time for me. Though the pizza word is in the restaurant name, it does sell only pizza. The food varieties are very broad and all of them taste so good. If someone knock your door selling izzi pizza voucher, bought them. You won’t regret buying it. And you can enjoy free valet parking too

On 28th September, break fast with friends at Cozy House, Great Eastern Mall. As a genuine photographer (piraahh), I always bring my gear with me. Upon entering the GE from parking, I heard emcee make an announcement asking for models to gather on the stage. And wallauweh, there’s a lot of hot artists on the stage, without further delay, I bring out my gear, and start shooting. For some reason, there’s very small amount of photographer around, this event for sure does not get enough coverage. Normal fashion show at any shopping complex usually draw a good at least 10 independent photographer. There was Diana Danielle, Amber Chia, Nora Danish, Nasha Aziz, Lisdawati, The sexy zahnita, Aleeza Kassim, Cute pengacara nona, Vaneeda Imran and one sesat guy, Vaneeda husband. Some of them look much prettier in real person than on tv or on paper.

Amber Chia. I was hoping Hannah Tan was there as well.

There’s a lot of Diana Danielle, but I’m just too lazy to upload new one. She’s only 16. Even if you’re 36 now, you still got the chance. Work hard in the next 10 years, earn Datukship, when you reach 46, ask her to marry you, she’s just 26 by then ahahaha. Classic case, Siti Nurhaliza and Dato K.

One of the unknown to me model. This was shot using Tamron at its fullest zoom, 300mm hand held using available light. I was actually surprised with the result.

This was taken from flyover in front of Pelita Nasi Kandar, Jalan Ampang at 1:27 am. Not many cars on the road already or else should render better light trails. Was there until around 4.00am for discussion with one of our client. He’s very sporting, not many clients agree to meet up at night for serious discussion about work as during the day, we are busy with other projects.

This lens for sure will replace my kit lens which now I no longer bring along. From my experience using this lens, I can say that I’m quite satisfied with the performance and result produced from it. Though, the longest zoom at 105mm sometime can be frustrating especially when shooting candid at large area, KLCC Park for example. But for small event such as birthday party, in the restaurant, or even wedding this is good lens. This lens was once touted as legendary lens, but I think it’s legendary on film or full frame camera. On APS-C, it’s not that legendary as the shortest zoom at 28 is actually 44mm. All in all, this is the lens worth the money for.

Next in line will be Canon 580 EX or Canon 580 EX II. Anybody selling 580 EX please let me know. I’m seriously looking for it and hopefully can get it before hari raya.

This entry was written a couple of weeks ago. Early this week one guy called me offering 580EX II at only RM1200.00. Market price for 580EX II is around RM1650.00. I’m overjoyed with the offer and schedule to meet him later that very day. Called my wife to share the news, during the conversation with my wife there’s incoming message. After hang up, I read the SMS, he canceled selling the flash due to some acceptable reason
